Lamar County, Texas

Kitchens Cemetery is in a pasture
50 yards from the road across from
a farmhouse & barn on FM 906 & FM 195 near Novice.
It is surrounded by a chain link fence
and is the burial plot of the family of Eli & Mary Kitchens.
In 2008 the cemetery was terribly overgrown with weeds
and it was impossible to get inside to search for stones.
According to the Lamar Co. Historical Society,
there are 10 known burials here.
The oldest is that of Eli Kitchens, who died Feb. 18, 1893.
