Louise Hupp Talbott
Mrs. Louise Hupp Talbott of 3400 Old Halifax Road, South Boston, Virginia died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at her home. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia September 20, 1919 and was 89 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel Hupp and Victoria Clay Hupp. She was married to the late Aylor Thomas Talbott.
Mrs. Talbott was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in numerous community activities including United Daughters of the Confederacy, Halifax Historical Society, YMCA, Parson’s Bruce Art Association and was past president of the Halifax Woman’s Club. She was a charter member and past president of the South Boston Garden Club where she served on various committees, and had a talent for flower design and arrangements for which she was the recipient of many blue ribbons.
Mrs. Talbott is survived by one son, Aylor Thomas “Tommy” Talbott and wife Peggy of Halifax, Va.; one daughter, Ramona Talbott Reeves and husband Bob of Montgomery, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Aylor Talbott III, Tripp Talbott, and Aaron Talbott, all of South Boston, Va., Barbara Flaugher of Chula Vista, Calif., Clay Reeves of Ogden, Utah, Robin Robertson of Willis, Texas, Bari Davis and husband Art of Montgomery, Ala, Cherie Sharp and husband Gary of Heber City, Utah, and Robert Cabel Reeves and wife Cathy of Montgomery, Ala.; 14 great-grandchildren, Sheryl Flaugher of Chula Vista, Calif., Chelcy Parish and Tennille Parish of Ogden, Utah, Cole Johnson of Ogden, Utah, Christopher Bryant of Montgomery, Ala., Ginger Sexton of Montgomery, Ala., Tiffany Davis, Cory Davis and Brittany Davis, all of Montgomery, Ala., Dru Holland of Mobile, Ala., Kendrick and Parker Sharp of Heber City, Utah and Katie Reeves and Daniel Reeves of Montgomery, Ala.; and one great-great-grandchild, Skyler Parish of Ogden, Utah.
Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Hupp Talbott will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.
